I am a retired analytical chemist who began to appreciate the satisfaction of a quality build and the many possibilities when watching my Mom and Dad work on their crafts.
I consider myself to be a passionate and exacting hobbyist. I started many years ago with woodworking. Always looking for how to capture the natural beauty of wood while incorporating the beauty into both the form and function of the item I was making.
More recently, I began exploring working with leather. Drawn to the variety of leather (source, color, temper, texture) and unlimited design possibilities, I began to progress through the learning curve to achieve my current level of craftsmanship.
I do what I do for the love of the craft and the challenge to make each customer feel that their purchase was priced very fairly. For me, starting LeatherWood Crafts as a storefront is a way for me to continue my hobby passions as opposed to a necessary income source.
At LeatherWood Crafts, I believe in the artistry and required creativity when making an item out of leather, wood, or a combination of the two.
.
My journey began with a passion for craftsmanship and a commitment to quality. That passion still resonates in every product I create.
I focus on making each item on a custom basis. Although some items might appear in my storefront, my focus is offering you, my customer, the ability to select the material, colors, finishes, hardware, etc. used in the final build. You can choose to choose or to give me the freedom to make it as I see fit.
All of this is why my mission is to offer
"UNCOMPROMISED QUALITY & AFFORDABLE PRICES"
